The Graduate School of Science and Technology carries out excellent, comprehensive and unique research in the advanced technology fields related to the marine environment, ecology, and energy.
This program was carried out over three years from 2010 to 2013 in order to foster leading young researchers with broad perspectives to flourish internationally through concentrated overseas dispatch promoting novel and creative research. In April 2011, the Graduate School of Science and Technology was restructured to establish the Graduate School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Fisheries Science and Environmental Studies as part of the organizational reform to materialize the fundamental goal that is listed in the second mid-term goals and plans of Nagasaki University. Thus, to foster young researchers in the advanced technology fields in this program efficiently, the Graduate School of Engineering, as well as the Graduate School of Fisheries Science and Environmental Studies, were added to participate to this program as a cooperative research organization.
